48 Kiosks Along Jalan Batu Ceper will Be Demolished Soon

We give deadline until April 25. Considering on April 27, we will demolish all kiosks

As many as 48 kiosks owned by street vendors along Jalan Batu Ceper, Gambir Urban Village, Central Jakarta, will be demolished soon. As those kiosks are standing on water channel, causing flooding during rainy season. 

"Previously, rain water had flooded our residential as high as 80 centimeters," said Gambir Urban Village Head, Fauzi, Tuesday (4/21).

Fauzi uttered, after being controlled, the location would be re-functioned as a sidewalk. The demolition is a follow-up of citizens' aspiration that wanted their environment looks neater, instead of flooding. 

Those kiosks in the size of 1,5x2 meters are commonly selling food, drink and agate. Based on Information gathered, these kiosks are rented by Rp 6 million a month.

"We give deadline until April 25. Considering on April 27, we will demolish all kiosks," he disclosed.
